A Halo Solitaire Daily Wear Mangalsutra
One round stone sits at the centre of this daily wear mangalsutra, ringed by a halo of much smaller ones. Two little pave discs sit at the shoulders where the chain meets the pendant. Nothing else is added, which is what keeps the piece small enough to wear all day.

Styling Suggestions
A single stone is the most versatile pendant shape there is, so this one goes with everything from a work saree to jeans. Wear it under a blouse where only the chain shows, or over a plain kurta. It layers well beneath a longer chain.
FAQs
What is a halo setting?
A halo is a ring of small stones set around a central one. It makes the centre stone appear larger and spreads light outward, which is why it is one of the most common ways of building a solitaire pendant or ring.
Is a small pendant worth choosing?
For daily wear it usually is. A small pendant sits flat, does not catch on clothing, and can be worn under a blouse without showing an outline. Larger pieces tend to look stronger in photographs but end up being worn far less often.
Can this go under a saree blouse?
It can. The pendant is compact and flat enough to sit against the skin without pushing the fabric out. Many women wear a mangalsutra this way on working days and bring out a wider one for functions and family events.
Do the small stones stay secure?
Halo stones are set close together and held by beads of metal raised from the surface, which is a secure arrangement when it is done well. Avoiding knocks against hard surfaces is what keeps any small setting tight over years.
